The first notes are a calm fruity aroma of black berries and dark cherries, followed by spicy nuances of cloves and anise, and the aroma of green grass. The alcohol comes on gradually later, and it is an easy-to-drink red wine that you can enjoy the refreshing fruity flavor at first. It goes well with Japanese dishes that use dashi stock, as well as meat dishes with rich sauces. Chardonnay is a very popular variety, also known as the "Queen of White Wines." The grape growers who encountered Yokohama Winery were Mr. and Mrs. Suzuki, who moved from Yokohama to Azumino. The grapes, which are grown with great care and have a deep sweet flavor, with the acidity reduced to the bare minimum. The gentle sweet aroma reminiscent of a pear and the soft mouthfeel make this a very popular bottle among Hama Wines.
