Sauvignon Blanc 2021
Sauvignon Blanc is a variety grown in wine-producing regions around the world. Its overall characteristics are a pale yellow color and a refreshing aroma. The grape growers who encountered Yokohama Winery were Mr. and Mrs. Suzuki, who moved from Yokohama to Azumino. The grapes were harvested a little early, so the sugar content was a little low, but in keeping with Yokohama Winery's policy, no added sugar or filtration was used, and the wine was fermented slowly at low temperatures with natural yeast derived from the grapes, resulting in a well-balanced, light, dry wine. This is a type of wine that is best enjoyed quickly without aging. Please chill thoroughly before opening.
*Cabernet Sauvignon was born from the crossing of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc.
■ Tasting notes
The clean, sharp citrus acidity is refreshing and goes well with meals. The sweet nectar scent of a flower garden spreads around your throat. The alcohol content is low at 9%. It has an easy-to-drink attack, but one sip reveals the depth of its richness. The acidity goes well with oil, so it is recommended to pair it with healthy snacks such as stir-fried vegetables and mushrooms, or fish dishes.
