This year, June 6th is Aperitif Day.
At Aperitif in Yokohama 2019, "Aperitif & Sommelier Recommended Wine & Yokohama Chef Marche" will be held. Yokohama Winery will be selling wine in the Marche area. For a two-part paid ticket price of 5,000 yen, you can enjoy amuse-bouches and wine from famous Yokohama chefs. Tickets can be purchased online, or if that's too much hassle, they are also available at the Yokohama Winery store.

This day has been proposed by the French Ministry of Agriculture since 2004 (Heisei 16).
In Japan, the French Food Promotion Association (SOPEXA) established the aperitif to spread the custom of relaxing before a meal with a glass of wine. The date is June, as it is twilight and people enjoy the outdoors more. It is the first Thursday of the first weekend in June.
