A collaboration bag with Yokohama Canvas Bags has been completed

How do you carry a bottle of wine? Yokohama Winery has collaborated with Yokohama Canvas Bags to create a wine bag. The bag is designed to keep things cool. There is a silver heat-retaining sheet on the inside, so you can put in an ice pack to keep things cool while you carry them. <Production Behind the Scenes> Yokohama Canvas Bags is a well-established shop that designs Yokohama's city code "045" and produces durable, stylish products using canvas. As a company in Yokohama, we had been thinking about collaborating, but we had difficulty finding an opportunity. On the other hand, we had been thinking about whether we could create some kind of goods to promote the use of reusable bottles. At that time, I was able to get in touch with someone and asked if it was possible to create a wine bag to promote the use of reusable bottles. At first, I had in mind a standard wine bag, but then I received a suggestion to use a cooling cloth and make a shoulder bag rather than just a bag to be carried by hand, so we began production. As a postscript, Suzuki Yukio, CEO of Yokohama Canvas Bags, explained that he accepted the project because it wasn't just about making wine bags, but also about promoting the use of reusable bottles. A stylish collaboration that is so typical of Yokohama. I hope that one day it will become a normal sight to see people carrying this wine bag on their shoulders and pouring wine into the empty bottles that were inside at wineries. <About wine bottles> Wine bottles are generally only used once: once the wine is gone, they go into the trash collection. The bottles collected there are then crushed again and turned back into raw glass material. In fact, this process emits a large amount of CO2 during the heat treatment and crushing process, which contributes to the CO2 emissions that are said to be the cause of climate change. Glass products are a material that does not easily get dirty and can be kept relatively hygienic. Just pouring wine once and distributing it releases a large amount of CO2, which is then returned to the material. Yokohama Winery is promoting the use of reusable bottles. There was a time not long ago when it was common to see people carrying empty 1.8L bottles when buying milk, soy sauce, etc., even in urban areas. We used our own ingenuity to prepare our own food, including the containers we used. It was a time when we could live comfortably, not by being "eco" or something special, but by being "intelligent." Rather than looking back on that time as something from the past, I hope that the use of reusable bottles will spread again among everyone, as an easy action that each individual can take, now that climate change has become a serious issue. This bag will be given to all Yokohama Winery supporters . →Currently, deliveries are delayed. We are delivering to supporters one by one, but please note that the next delivery is scheduled for January 2019.
