A Chardonnay (white wine) and Cabernet Franc (red wine) wine brewed in Yokohama by Yokohama Winery using grapes grown in Azumino by a producer with ties to Yokohama. The red and white wines, which are the face of Hama Wine, are set in a special gift box at a great price. The label has been completely redesigned. The theme is "travel." It expresses the view of Yokohama from a boat (Cabernet Franc) and the view of the sea seen by a woman about to depart on a journey (Chardonnay).

Concerto of the Sea and the Mountain - Chardonnay 2022 -
Chardonnay is a very popular variety, also known as the "Queen of White Wines." The grape growers who encountered Yokohama Winery were Mr. and Mrs. Suzuki, who moved from Yokohama to Azumino. The grapes, which are carefully grown in Yokohama, have a deep sweet flavor with the acidity reduced to the minimum. Its soft mouthfeel makes it one of the most popular Hama Wines. The 2022 edition is even more outstanding in terms of taste and aroma! The wine is made using natural yeast without the use of antioxidants. It's a white wine that you'll want to drink again and again.
■Tasting notes
Moderate acidity. A gentle sweet aroma reminiscent of pear and honey is impressive. Gentle and deep flavor. A crisp, soft citrus acidity and mellow flavor. The magic of the yeast on the grapes is convincing! The gentle texture goes well with all Japanese cuisine.

The grape growers are a couple who moved from Yokohama. Cultivation in Azumino is difficult, and there are still only a few Cabernet Franc growers. In 2021, the weather was good and the grapes were of high quality. These are memorable grapes that the seedling owners of Yokohama Vineyard, managed by Yokohama Winery, harvested together with the couple in Azumino.
■Tasting notes
A bright, transparent red. Moderate astringency and acidity. Scents of cherries, raspberries, and violets, with a smooth mouthfeel. A light, elegant body. Goes well with onion-based sweet sauce dishes. A Japanese red wine that is easy to drink and can be paired with a wide range of meals without pretense. Cabernet Franc is often blended with other red grape varieties, and is not often sold as a wine on its own, but Hama Wine was fascinated by its cute and fun flavor and decided to sell it as a single wine.
