The new label "Travel" series.
Even the same brand has two designs.
The Yokohama cityscape as seen from inside a cruise ship.
A traveler watches a cruise ship floating on the sea in Yokohama.
Most of the products on display in retail stores have the "Yokohama Cityscape" label.
The "Traveller Viewing a Cruise Ship" label is the most popular online and in-store.
So, what's the difference?
Many people who visit wineries say they don't like antioxidants. At Hama Wine, we make wine using almost no antioxidants. There are various ways of thinking about this troublesome substance.
This is Yokohama Winery's philosophy.
・Basically no additives are used.
-I want to brew wine without relying on chemicals to prevent oxidation.
However, since the aroma and flavor of wine changes significantly depending on how it is stored, we do not completely reject the use of antioxidants.
So,
・When it is absolutely necessary to use it, we limit its use to an extremely small amount.
What are the situations in which you absolutely must use it?
- Red wine has the tendency to become more fragrant when stored for a long time, but Hama Wine has the tendency to become more fragrant when stored for a long time, so when bottling, very small amounts of antioxidants are added to suppress the reactivation of yeast.
・Not generally used for other types. When wine is put on a distribution line rather than directly sold, temperature control and other storage methods cannot be monitored, so extremely small amounts of antioxidants are added to prevent deterioration of the wine.
Hama Wine has recently been sold in department stores and supermarkets. If you are concerned about added antioxidants, please choose the "Traveler Watching Cruise Ships" label. This does not contain any added antioxidants.
There is no big difference in flavor, but considering that many people are concerned about the difference, we have started using two labels. We will continue to develop our products based on your opinions and reactions.
