MAHOROBA TWILIGHT 2023 -Delaware Orange-

Twilight of Mahoroba 2023 -Delaware Orange-

Takahata Town, Yamagata Prefecture. It is also known as "Mahoroba Village." Located in the alluvial fan of the Ou Mountains, this fertile land has been inhabited by people since the early Jomon period. The Delaware grapes grown here are carefully harvested, bunch by bunch. The ripe purple bunches sparkle in the sunlight. Then, the seeds become clearly visible among the juice-filled berries. The slowly darkening blue sky can be seen through the gaps in the leaves. Every time the early autumn wind gently sways the leaves surrounding the bunches, a faint sweet scent of Delaware grapes drifts through the air. When the sunlight disappears, the brightly shining bunches turn a deep purple. Twilight in Mahoroba. The ever-changing appearance of the grapes is mysterious.

Made from 100% fully ripe Delaware grapes harvested in Takabatake Town, Yamagata Prefecture, Yokohama Winery's orange winemaking, which was born miraculously after work was delayed due to a power outage caused by a typhoon, is now in its fifth year. Volunteer members of Yokohama Vineyard harvested the grapes in early September and brewed them into orange wine in Yokohama. Fermented with natural yeast and no added antioxidants. Enjoy the freshness of freshly bottled wine. Delaware's original sweet aroma is enhanced with richness and complexity. It goes well with light salads made with fresh vegetables, hotpots with a strong dashi flavor, and spicy dishes such as curry.
